Declutter-Organize is first chronologically to get house ready sell smart.

Among the 4 D's in our free home owner action plan, the fourth step, is the least expensive and the least (physically) difficult and yet among the most dreaded.

Leaving a home (whether you want to move on or have to), is emotionally charged. So are the things in the home. Often the emotional attachment (or emotionally-based reasons for getting and keeping all of these things) kicks in and results in . . . nothing.

No movement, no progress, no garage sale - an absolute standstill of paralysis.

Need a reason to get going? How about the consequences (finanical, personal, professional) of not being able to "get going." Of a house languishing on the market for months with no offers, of two mortgages, etc., or any other reason to sell house. All become great reasons to sell house smart and take that first step.

Remember your reason to sell house smart to break thorough the inertia. Because tough love is often necessary to get past "it," whatever the emotinal attachment is, and get going.

Clean up clutter throughout the house first, then organize - especially closets, pantry, garage, etc.
